Perak Darul Ridzuan, situated in Peninsular Malaysia covers an area of 21,005 sq. km. It's the second largest state in Peninsular Malaysia.

Perak enjoys warm and humid days all year round. It registers temperatures ranging from 23.7 to 33.2 degrees Celsius, with humidity exceeding 82.3% and abundant rainfall of up to 3,218 mm a year.
Almost half of Perak is covered with forests, i.e. 10,713 sq.km. 95.6% of which represents tropical rainforests with the remaining 4.4% being mangrove forests.
