INTERNATIONAL GREENTECH & ECO PRODUCTS EXHIBITION & CONFERENCE MALAYSIA (IGEM) 2018

KUALA LUMPUR, 17 OCTOBER 2018, TUESDAY – InvestPerak, Malaysia has successfully participated in the International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition & Conference Malaysia (IGEM) 2018 in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) which has been organised annually by the Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment & Climate Change (MESTECC).  IGEM 2018 has established itself as South East Asia’s largest trade event for green technologies and eco solutions and to create a platform for solution providers and green energy businesses to tap into the fast expanding ASEAN market by showcasing the latest innovations to policy makers, government organisations, investors and the mass market.

The Minister of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment & Climate Change (MESTECC), YB Yeo Bee Yin officiated the 9th International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition & Conference Malaysia (IGEm) 2018, ASEAN’s leading green technology business and innovation platform .This event is the ideal platform for solution providers and green energy businesses to tap into the fast expanding ASEAN market by showcasing the latest innovations to policy makers, government organisations, investors and the mass markets under the IGEM brand

This 4-day event showcased green technology solutions represented by 250 exhibitors from 30 countries. Other highlights include; Business Matching Sessions, IGEM 2018 Congress; featuring robust dialogues, and thought-provoking sessions with 40 panel speakers from various industries; as well as the sought-after Pocket Talks.

IGEM 2018 Green Economy & Industry 4.0 explores the integration modes between green economy solutions and its application to the current automation trend which includes; the Internet of Things (IoT), cyber security, system integration, Big Data, autonomous robots and more, with the aim of achieving sustainable development goals for various global industries. The major players attending  this year’s event are Jinko Solar, JA Solar, Ditrolic Solar, LONGI Solar, British High Commission of Kuala Lumpur, Hanwha Q CELLS, and Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB). The must-visit Pavilions this year will feature the Malaysian State Governments alongside their International counterparts from the European Union, Republic of South Korea, China, Japan and Taiwan.

Perak State Government, Ipoh City Town Council, InvestPerak Malaysia, Perak Hydro Renewable Energy Corporation, University Technology Mara (UiTM) Perak, and Koperasi Kohijau from Ipoh participated in the exhibition to showcase the innovations related to Green Technology in the State of Perak including to give a support for the Government’s initiative.
